Updating

Craig has taught me how to blog, I know it is about time. Hopefully we can keep you better informed on Lucas his growth and development and of course all of the funny things he does.

My First Solid Meal (Sort of....)

Lucas had his first solid meal tonight (well, there were solid chunks floating in the milk). He did surprisingly well and ate THE WHOLE BOWL! We weren't expecting him to eat everything on the first try, but considering his heritage (I once put on ~20 lbs. during a single Thanksgiving) we really shouldn't have been surprised. In fact, by the end he was opening his mouth and grunting for more faster than we could get the spoon back to his mouth.

To top things off, Lucas is also getting a tooth, which means he can try and bite the spoon and hold it in his mouth. The tooth has broken the skin, but hasn't penetrated far enough for him to really use it to do much damage. I'm glad to say that the spoon is still in pristine condition, free of tooth marks.

Fall/Halloween

Lucas' first Fall and Halloween. Also some pictures from the Penn State Homecoming Parade (it was cold and I don't think Lucas liked it very much).

Update

So we're really bad about this whole updating the blog thing.....

Lucas had his 2 month appointment a few weeks ago, and he's doing great. The doctor did notice (and Katie had been wondering about this for some time), that Lucas was showing the signs of having Torticollis (preferred to lean head to one sign, indicating that one neck muscle might be tighter than the other). As a result we are now attending physical therapy once a week until further notice. Lucas showed vast improvement after just one week of physical therapy and the therapist doesn't seem to be too concerned. (I think that he's young enough that he has full motion of his head still, the muscles haven't fully tightened, but he simply prefers to lean to one side. So the physical therapy is more a preventative measure than a corrective measure.)

Lucas likes to talk and laugh and play with us, and we love playing with him. Pictures will be posted soon.

Lots of Updates

It's been a while since I've put up any new pictures. Sorry about that.

Here's a large collection of random pictures from the last two weeks to make up for it. You can definitely tell he's getting older simply by the way he appears more aware of his surroundings.
