Wedding!

The main reason we were in Utah, was for my friend's wedding, which I had the opportunity to be a part of. It was a beautiful wedding up Millcreek Canyon. It was neat experience to be one of her bridesmaids. My fingernails and toenails were all fancy, so was my hair and my dress. I was even wearing high heel shoes! Those of you who know me know this is unusual.....very unusual. I think the last time I was all snazy was on my wedding day. Because this doesn't happen often, and Craig was there to see this, I am documenting this moment.

Ice Cream!

While Lucas and I were in Utah we were able to meet up with our friends who were also visiting Utah. We went to Leatherby's talked and ate ice-cream we had a lot of fun and it was great to see them!

Memorial Day!

It was nice to be home for Memorial Day, to be able to go with my family to visit my grandpa's grave. I remember putting flowers on my grandpa's grave on Memorial Day, every Memorial Day, since he past away. The cemetery he is buried at, has American flags, flowers, and people everywhere, it can be pretty tricky getting in and out of this cemetery. As a kid, what I like most about this cemetery is they have a stand where they are handing out soda pop for free. We also visited several other cemeteries and graves throughout the day.

On Memorial Day we went to Breakfast with some old family friends, Lucas really enjoyed breakfast! We also took a trip down to Spanish Fork with the Swenson's and had lunch at a McBeth family reunion. Lucas seemed to enjoy this, he likes being outside and watching people.

Last Birthday Celebration!

We celebrated Lucas's Birthday on the 16th and the 23rd of May, but you have to celebrate his birthday on the designated day, especially when he is turning one. On the 24th of May Lucas acutal Birthday, mother-nature gave him a gift... snow! It snowed, and not just a sprinkle, but real snow. Enough snow that it was causing problems in the Salt Lake area, though we did not get too much our way! We went to dinner and of course had more cake that Lucas did enjoy, though he was still feeling a little under the weather.

More Birthday Pictures

For some reason I couldn't up load all of the pictures I wanted to so here are a lot more, birthday pictures!

Another Birthday Celebration!

We Celebrated Lucas's Birthday on the 23rd of May! We ended up inviting everyone and then some! It was a big to-do! Kenzie and I made him a cake. It was a barn cake with animal cupcakes. It turned out pretty well, though it wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to be! We web-cammed Craig since he couldn't be there! Unfortunately Lucas wasn't feeling well, was a little fussy throughout the party and didn't really get into his cupcake!

First summer trip to Utah!

From May 17th to June 23rd, Lucas and I abandoned Craig and headed to Utah. My really good friend was getting married and the grandmas and grandpas were missing Lucas. We went everywhere and saw a big part of Utah, from Logan to Spanish Fork and several places between! Aunt Kenzie taught him how to high-five and on the 21st of June he learned to wave good-bye. He is not consistent, but he does it now and then. It was lots of fun and Lucas was excellent through it all! Here are some pictures taken during our trip!

Picture #1 - We are boarding the plane to head to Utah and all I can say is I love pre-boarding it is so nice and makes flying a little easier and lets other passengers know what their getting into if they sit next to us! Though Lucas is wonderful when flying and we have not had any big issues, besides changing his diaper multiple times during the trip!

Picture #2 - Grandma Les has a toy car, Lucas loved being pushed around in it, when he wasn't trying to open the car door to escape.

Picture #3 - Since I was involved in my friend's wedding and also attended another wedding of an old family friend, Lucas was left at various times to bond with his grandparents! It is a good thing they love him!

Picture #4 - A baby taking a bath is pretty cute, but two babies take a bath together priceless!

Picture #5 - Lucas's head measures off of the charts! His height and weight are about average though, which is kinda of surprising. So with that in mind, his hat that we bought last summer (which was a 12 month size) did not fit. Grandma found him a new hat. He looks pretty darn cute in it, when he leaves it on! It's his Crocodile Dundee hat!
